Welcome to my website. I'd like to take a moment to introduce myself and share a bit about my background in the equine industry.
My experience with horses began when I was very young and quickly grew into a lifelong passion. I became professionally involved during my high school years, assisting my trainers and gaining hands-on experience that shaped my foundation in horsemanship. I graduated from the Maryland Horse Centers Equine Studies Program in 1989.
Early in my career,I was a working student for a three-time Olympic Dressage trainer and medalist. I later switched from Dressage to the Hunter/Jumper world, where I was fortunate to work for several of the top trainers in the country. My career evolved from a groom to a rider to a barn manager, allowing me to ride and travel with some top horses in the US and abroad.
Over time, my focus shifted to farm management, where I spent many years overseeing breeding and show operations. I was responsible for the feeding and management of young horses, breeding stallions and performance horses - an experience that sparked my deep interest in equine nutrition.
My equestrian background is diverse, spanning both the English and Western disciplines. I eventually transitioned into Western riding and learned how to team rope, and managed a 200-acre ranch in the Berkshires. Additionally, I gained valuable experience working at a large animal hospital as a veterinary technician.
Today, I reside on a small farm in Texas, where I care for my four horses. While I am no longer working with horses professionally, my dedication and love for them has not changed. That passion inspired me to pursue a career in equine nutrition, completing and graduating from both Legacy Equine Nutrition ENA I and ENA II certified programs.
My education continues as I collaborate with a knowledgeable network of equine nutritionists and advisors. As an independent certified equine nutrition advisor, I am committed to helping horses achieve optimal health and performance through balanced, individualized feeding programs.
