Hi! Welcome to my website. Here is a little about who I am.
I've been riding since I was very young. I started working with horses seriously when I was in high school, riding horses for my trainers. I graduated from the Maryland Horse Center’s Advanced Equine Studies program in 1989.
I was a working student for a 3 time Olympic Dressage trainer who had 2 Olympic bronze medals. Then I switched to Hunter/Jumpers and worked for some of the top trainers in the country. I started as a groom and worked my way up to rider and barn manager. I was lucky enough to ride and travel with some of the top horses competing in the US and abroad including Olympic level horses. Eventually I started managing more than traveling and spent many years managing show and breeding farms. I was responsible for the feeding programs for the foals, stallions, mares and show horses, that started my passion for equine nutrition.
Later in life I switched from English to Western and learned how to team rope and heeled for many years. I managed a 200 acre ranch in the Berkshires. In between all that I spent a year at a large animal hospital as a large animal vet tech.
I would say I have dedicated my life to caring for horses, I have a well rounded background in the English and Western disciplines and horse care in general.
I currently own a small farm in Texas and have 4 of my own horses. I no longer work with horses professionally but still have a passion for them. That passion lead me into equine nutrition. I am an independent certified equine nutrition advisor and I look forward to working with you and your horses to create a balanced feeding program.
